First Move

 

First Move is committed to playing its part in the direction of regenerating the area. By providing practical support services to get people into employment, we are doing our part. We are also committed to improving quality of life through projects such as First Move Furnishaid Limited ,

 

First Move is supported through a series of grants from the Borough and Trust. The Great Yarmouth Borough Council provides an annual grant. In Jan 2000, we did received a 100,000 Pound funding from the Community Fund spread over three years. It funded two staff positions, purchasing of a new van, upgrading of office equipment and renovation costs to improve access. Lloyds TSB Foundation also pledged 24,000 Pounds for funding spread over three years. Funds will be used to part fund the salary of the manager, upgrade of computers and renovation cost of the community cafe. We also receive support from local groups, companies and organisations.

 

We plan to develop more services that meet the needs of people living in the Borough and especially in the wards the project serves. We welcome feedback, comments and suggestions as to what people want that fall under the remit of the project.
